FUN! FUN! FUN!
It's official, speedsailing is all about fun.
Get down to the beach (or any patch of open land - check for access
rights first), put on a BIG SMILE and enjoy it. To emphasise
this, the calendar for the coming year is oriented around having many
more weekends without any formal racing, where you can come and meet
other speedsailors, have a blast, improve your free-style, whatever
and have a good old fun weekend. The dates are shown in the calendar,
but some of the events are yet to be confirmed, so give Chris Moore
a call on 01934 511 780 or email him at email@example.com
for further details.
We recognise that a lot of people have been put off by
the emphasis on the competitive side to speedsailing, but as outlined above,
we now want you to come and have fun. We need to see a lot more of you
coming down to the organised training/fun weekends. These offer free
tuition and advice to everyone in speedsailing. You never know, you
might just be able to pull off that Monkey Gybe or Sail 360° which has been
eluding you on the water!
Speed Sail UK
Because of the success we had last year with the new dealership system,
in particular with Chris at the Weston Speedsail School we would like to
develop the dealerships so that a few more follow the footsteps of Chris.
By combining the school and the dealership with the enthusiasm in the
sport the Weston set up is now well kitted out and able to get boards from
us very quickly and easily. I know that a few of you are keen on the dealership
scheme and I know Chris and I will give you all the support that we can.
If you are a Speedsail UK dealer you are likely to be able to fund your
school from selling speedsails and from the income of the school and the
dealership you are likely to be able to fund your own equipment and your
trips to events.
There is no VAT or any other difficult problems involved and basically
by going speedsailing, talking to people who ask you questions and by offering
a teaching session you will probably end up selling them a board. Well
that's how Chris seems to do it!
The team is now about 15 strong and we are gradually inching
our way up in the competitions in Europe. The levels and experience
vary and those like Graham, Neilo and Chris are there to help YOU
to develop your skills. We as a team need more competitors of all
ages, particularly those between 11 and 25 years and especially females.
Come on girls, it is a lot easier than you might think. Information
about team training days are shown on the timetable
so if you would like to come and join us for some free tuition phone
Chris on 01934 511 780 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org
